To All the Loved Ann:

It is hard to believe that it has been so many years since I worked with Ann at Ziff.  She was funny, caring, intelligent and street smart.  What was most admirable as I was moving up in my career were her often private always wise thoughts on most subjects.  Those bits of advice will never be forgotten nor will her steadfast strength at supporting "her people" and advising how to prevail, always with a devilish smile and practically 100% accuracy.  She could read people.

I view her as a mentor and wish only that I could prevail wisdom onto others as she did.

I reached out to her several years ago and thanked her for the support and guidance.  She responded kindly and promptly.  Often times, I see my actions now many years later as part and parcel with the good solid and honest advice she provided- always in the strictest of confidence.

Godspeed, Ann.  I am one person who may not have been in touch much over the years but will never forget what you did to help me in my life.  And, isn't that why we're here?

To the family of Ann Adelman
Ann was my boss - mentor and friend from my time at Ziff-Davis.
She and Saul were at my wedding, the brises of my two sons and both of their bar mitzvahs.  She sent them Chanukah presents and birthday cards till they both reached the age of 13 (they are now 29 & 22).
Even today my children call her Grandma Ann.
She always spoke warmly about her family - her brothers, her nieces and nephews all of whom she was so fond of.  We talked about our Pesach preparations- her matzoh balls stuffed into her freezer for the large seder she & Saul held in their home. 
We spoke regularly over the past 29 years since I left Ziff-Davis- and most recently the week before Passover. Little did I know that would be the last time we would speak. She was an incredible role model as a boss and as a person. She will be missed.
May you take solace and comfort in your beautiful memories of her.
