Frederick was a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and recently moved to New York.He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Leaffer; his daughter, Emily Greenfield, and her husband Matthew Greenfield; his cherished grandsons, Nathan and Lucas; and a soon-to-be granddaughter. He is also survived by his brothers; Steven Leaffer, Dana Leaffer and Alan Leaffer, his sister-in-law, Carol Fintz, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Eleanor Leaffer.
Frederick will be remembered for his strength and resilience, his love and pride for his family, the warmth, laughter, and joy he brought into the lives of those around him, and his passion for Boston sports.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Brain Tumor Foundation.
A private family service will be held to celebrate his life.
