Beloved wife of the late Bernard Harold Schwartz, adoring mother of Eugene & Barbara Schwartz, Carol & Richard Buchwald and Ellen Abel, beloved sister to Sylvia Fasulo, and loving grandmother to Lisa & Marshall Kurtz, Tahlia & Jordan Bliss, Adam & Sarah Buchwald, Daniela Abel, Sandra and Todd Ordan, and Andrea & Craig Rigney. Proud great grandmother of 11 precious children: Braden, Hanna, Charlie, Hazel, Sabra, Mia, Tamar, Jenna, Ethan, Jacob and Max. They were the LIGHT of her life!
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Mt Vernon, NY, attending AB Davis High School and taught Home Economics in the Mt Vernon School system for 25 years.
She was a long time active member of the Free Synagogue of Westchester, and was married there in 1947.
She will be remembered as a true family matriarch always there for all members of her immediate and extended family.
Her family was her life and legacy.
