Alex was born May 30, 1927 in San Pedro California. He was the son of Betsy Marquez. After he completed his education Alex enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Alex also had a feed store, owned restaurants and worked for "3M" and the California Lottery.
Alex enjoyed watching football and rooting for his favorite team the "Patriots" he enjoyed doing home improvement projects, fishing, hunting, cooking and baking. He liked cooking soup for the homeless and working outdoors.
Alex went on the first date, a neighbor, "Penny" who turned out to be the love of his life, they married July 4th and have since enjoyed the life they created for themselves in southern California.
He is survived by his wife Penny, his children Edward, Lucille and Kimberly. His granddaughter Destiny, a grandson R.J. and a great granddaughter Sadie.
