Anna Avie Cowell-Marino of Yucaipa went to be with the lord on July 4, 2011. Born April 10th 1919 in Pittsville, Wisconsin to Frank and Minnie Hinrichsen. She married Clarence Cowell of Ladd, Illinois and moved to San Bernardino, CA. in 1945. Anna worked for the San Bernardino City School District as a secretary for 25 years and retired in 1983. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and quilting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a Christian and loved studying the bible.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Cowell in 1982, and her second husband, Philip Marino in 2000.
Anna is survived by her brother Donald Friday of Chicago, Illinois, and sister Ruth Mellon of Dixon, Illinois. Her three children, James Cowell and daughter-in-law Sara Cowell of Yucaipa, CA; Sally Richardson and son-in-law Tom Richardson of Bellmore, NY; Walter Cowell and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Cowell of Portland, OR; and seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Internment at Green Acres Cemetery with a celebration of her life at a later date.
