Also known as Tury, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and Godfather. He grew up in El Paso and lost his dad at 11 years of age. He started working as a paper boy to help his mother. He also held jobs as a grocery delivery boy, dish washer and he set up bowling pins. He came to California in 1961 where he worked as a carpenter. Soon after he started working as a machinist and eventually became a precision grinder. His work included grinding with fractions to thousands of an inch. He worked in the Aerospace Industry and even worked on the North American Apollo Spacecraft Hatch Redesign. He then worked for Continental Airlines where he took the opportunity to travel and enjoyed it. Later in life, he took lessons as a card dealer with the intention of pursuing a job working in the casinos. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed singing, dancing, music, playing pool, the sport of boxing, traveling, carpentry, eating home cooked meals, attending the local casinos and spending time with his family.
