He was born in Los Angeles, Ca. on August 6, 1933, to the late Frank and Verona Morris.
Bas graduated from Polytechnic High School and went to Brigham Young University. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a Pilot and Weapons Systems Operator during the Vietnam War. He served for over 21 years in the Air Force, he achieved the rank of Major. After his military retirement, he went to work for Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Ca. then went to work for Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, Ca. until his retirement
Bas is survived by 4 children; John Morris, of Riverside, CA; Elizabeth Morris, of Upland, CA; LeeAnn Morris of Upland, CA; and Mikyla Gilmore of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and brother Neil Allgood of Merced, CA. He is also survived by his grandson Justin Gilmore.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 16, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518
