Just found out today that Vivian has passed. She was our Neighbor back in 1977 in Mentone Ca.My oldest son, Daniel lived with her and Leon in the lat 80's early 90's .she and Leon were wonderful neighbors and became wonderful friends of ours. She will be missed and now she joins Leon in forever life.

People viewing this page need to know about Aunt Viv.  Besides living to the age of 102, she was a strong woman having buried her husband and three children, a sister, her parents and countless friends.  The last child, Jerry, was 78 when he passed.  I am her niece and talked to her at least once a month or more and at one point after Jerry passed, she made the statement she had no one left and felt ready to move on.  Vivian Brascomb Bullock was one of two daughters and her Dad was a minister, her mom a mid-wife.  Vivian cared for two severely handicapped children who passed early on as well as her mother when she became incapacitated in her later years.  She understood that the two children were in a better place, but it took her heart when Jerry died right in the house where they lived together.  Leon, her husband, was my father's brother.  When my parents moved from Southern Illinois to Las Vegas, we spent alot of time at their house, going to swap meets and auctions for days on end, all day.  She didn't slow down, even then.  There are too many funny and personal stories to share here, but she was an amazing, caring woman.  Vivian was at one time somewhat of a psychic.  She saw things in the future that came true and it scared her.  As a kid, she used to tell fortunes more of less as a joke until one day, in a friend's sisters hand, she sensed death which actually came true.  Vivian was a poet, published author and all around really decent and loving person.  I am certainly going to miss our phone calls.  She was still very mentally intact when I last talked to her and my family archive has passed with her, she remembered everything and was willing to talk about anything.  I know she had a friend at this funeral home who helped and advised her from time to time.  She had other friends who in her later years, brought groceries.  To anyone out there that helped her, including where she attended church, thank you for your kindness.  Viv, I will sure miss you.  Godspeed.
