

Charles M. Morley
April 10, 1928 - November 6, 2017
Charles, loved and respected by everyone he knew, passed quietly from this life into the hands of The Lord, Monday, November 6 from lung cancer. He was born and raised near Silverton, Oregon. He was raised by his grandfather and grandmother on a farm where he learned and enjoyed hard work. He and Colleen Egan, his high school sweetheart were married October 3, 1947 and raised their 3 children, Dennis, Nadene and Kent on that same farm.
He worked at several jobs through his 89 years. He drove truck, farmed, drove log truck, led a sales team in several locations around the country selling recreational property and worked for his son in his excavating business. He was still working hard and driving dump truck at age 80. He was always a farmer at heart and loved gardening. He spent the last 8 years of his life in Hemet California where he became a shuffle board champion, winning several awards including the Senior World Championship in St. George, Utah.
Beyond these jobs and honors and more importantly Charles was a man of deep faith. He was an elder, teacher and leader in his church for many years and led many of his family and acquaintances to faith. He was known as a man of great wisdom, kindness and integrity.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Colleen and his son Dennis. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Nadene & Don Funkhouser, his son and daughter-in-law Kent & Myrna Morley and his daughter-in-law Barbara (Roten) Morley. He and Colleen had 10 adoring grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was the oldest son among 10 siblings and is survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
A graveside service will be held at Union Hill Cemetery (time and date not yet determined).
