Claire Judith Lewis

Claire Judith Lewis, 92 of Hemet, California passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was born on Monday, April 13, 1925 in South River, New Jersey, to the late Tony and Claire Caldrone. Claire is survived by her son and his wife, Jim and Melanie Lewis; her surrogate daughter, Gwen Morse; two grandchildren, Christopher and Nichole; one great grandson, Adam; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Claire was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Nate Lewis; her daughter, Penny; and eight brothers and sisters.

Claire was a vivacious, fun-loving woman, who lived her life to the fullest. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she loved to laugh. Claire was a "city girl" who was always dressed to the nines, and loved to go shopping for the latest fashions. She also loved to travel. While cruises were her favorite, even a trip across the street was welcome and could be an adventure. However, Claire was most passionate about her family and friends. She loved having everyone together for parties, and the louder, the better. Claire was also a movie buff. Judy Garland was her favorite actress, and she made sure everyone knew that her middle name was after her.

Claire was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

Services will be held privately by the family.
