Delbert Raul Wilson, age 82, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away, Wednesday, August 21, 2013, in Riverside, California. He was born on Tuesday, November 04, 1930 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late James Wilson and the late Manuelita Wilson. Raul was the loving husband of Victoria Baca for over 20 years. Raul was a long-time civil rights activist; fighting racism and inequality in Central and Southern California. He fought racism in Moreno Valley and was a leader of the area's Mexican American Political Association and founder of the Mexican Political Association. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to mourn his loss, but cherish his memory are his loving wife, Victoria Baca; children, Ronnie Wilson, Julie Wilson Diaz, Eredira Elena Wilson, Netzahualcoyotl Raul Wilson, Cuauhtemoc Wilson and Elena Victoria Santa Cruz; 19 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Manuelita Wilson and son, Quetzalcoatl Delbert Wilson.
