

His first wife, Hendricka (Rickie), of 63 years, preceded him in death in 2009. He is survived by Patricia, whom he married in June 2010. He is also survived by his sister, 4 sons and their wives, 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, as well as Patricia's 3 sons, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Don was born on June 2, 1924 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He graduated from South High in Denver, Colorado and received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at University of Colorado. Boulder. He served n the Navy during World WII in the Pacific Theater. His career included working at the Sandia Missile Base in White Sands New Mexico an then Ford Aerospace in Newport Beach, California, eventually retiring from there. Don enjoyed woodworking, computers and photography. He also enjoyed singing in his church choirs over the years.
Don deeply loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and became very involved with the Gideons, a Bible distributing ministry. He served as an Elder in the churches he attended, and most recently was on the Pastor Search Committee at Valley Evangelical Free Church of Hemet. He was a great prayer warrior and his beautiful prayers will be missed.
There will be a committal service at 10:00am, Friday, September 23, at Riverside National Cemetery with military honors followed by a "Celebration of Life" service at 2:30pm at the Village in Hemet.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International ministry.
