Donnie Ray Holman

Donnie Ray Holman passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, in Hemet, California at the age of 63. He was born June 9, 1962 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Johnny Emiline Holman III and Marsha Janelle (Oldham) Holman (Watkins).

Donnie grew up in the small town of Perrin, Texas where he was best known for his larger-than-life personality and contagious smile. He was everyone’s big brother and never knew a stranger. Upon Highschool graduation Donnie ventured out to try his hand at college where he attended Texas Tech for a short while. Realizing college was not his forte, he set out for an even bigger adventure. In 1985 Donnie moved to Costa Mesa, California where a whole new life began. In May of 1989 Donnie married Janis Heyden and they settled in Murrieta, California where they raised their two children.

Donnie raised his children with love and admiration. He was very adamant about raising them to be honest, hard working and independent just as he was raised. He will forever be remembered and loved.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father Johnny Emiline Holman III, Beloved stepfather whom he adored Bobby Troy Watkins Sr, as well as his stepsister Julie Moore.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Janis Holman, Daughter Jessica Heyden, Son Tyler Holman ( Karla ), Mother Marsha Watkins, Brothers Larry Holman ( Leslie ), James Holman ( Susan ), Timothy Holman. Stepbrothers Wade Watkins, Bobby Watkins ( Linda ), and Stepsister Marilyn Watkins along with many nieces and nephews.
