Dorothy Jean Middleton passed away August 2, 2012 in her Hemet home that she had shared with her loving husband, Gail. Dorothy was born January 12, 1924 in Los Angeles, California. During WWII she was one of the first women certified life guards in Los Angeles County.
Dorothy loved camping and spent many wonderful years vacationing in Yosemite and collecting rocks worldwide for her vast collection of Suiseki, Japanese viewing stones. Dorothy led a fulfilling life being involved in the Hemet Valley Art Association, line dancing groups and playing in ukulele bands.
Dorothy's wonderful sense of humor was loved by everyone; she never missed an opportunity to share a laugh or a party. Dorothy's zest for life will be missed by her adoring family; Wayne and Teri Middleton of San Diego, grandson Andrew, his wife Vanessa and new great granddaughter, Layla, and grandson Neil of Huntington Beach. The family has years of delightful memories to hold in their hearts.
