Eduardo is survived by his wife Agnes Alviola, his sister Marie Cahiwat, his 3 children Dwayne Alviola and wife SueAnn, Sheryll Shorter and husband Randy, Jane Alviola and husband Walter; 6 grandchildren Maylanie, Ariana, Malachi, Jacob, Micah, and Abigail; adopted children Caroline Daodao-Ang and husband Marlon, Poseidon Alviola and wife MaryJane, Clark; and adopted grandchildren David, Jose, and Julia.
Eddie retired in the Navy after serving for 24 years as a Boiler Technician and utilized his skills post retirement as an Operation Engineer at Centinela Hospital and St. Vincent Medical Center as his last place of employment for the past 25 years. He was a generous person and supported others to the best of his ability. Playing video games was his favorite hobby, he was dedicated to his work and loved his coworkers, and most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. They truly brought out the soft side of him. His greatest joy to date was re-connecting with his childhood best friends. He lived life as if he knew his time could end any moment. When last seen by his daughter he was filled with smiles and laughter sharing his fun trip to Chicago and anticipating his next adventure with his friends.
His favorite quote would be to quote our late Lola Dading, "If God is with me, who will be against me."
"Letter from Heaven"
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I'm not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your
eyes, filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things
we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right there in your heart ?
