

He is survived by his wife; Brigitte Koenig, married for 19 years. For many years he had his own auto repair shop in Illinois and when he retired he turned it over to his son. Aviation was one of his passions and had his pilots license. Later when could no longer fly to migrated to the remote control airplanes. He was a member of the local RC club in Hemet.
Gardening also brought him joy and when he planted with tweezers then you can understand his zeal for his garden. He was a very compassionate, loving, and caring family man to all his children, step children, nieces , and grandkids. He was known for his calmness in a crisis. He would say...Just take it easy, calm down, everything will be all right... He was in the Army for three years.
Survived by him are his children, Lisa Osiqunie, Sherry Bruno, step children Sandra De Monte, Mark De Monte, James Robertson and daughter in law Betty Koenig , his sister Marcella Clausen. Preceded in death were his first wife Rita Koenig and son Edward Koenig.
He has 9 grand children and 2 nieces.
He will be interned at Oak Glen Cemetery in Lansing Il at a date to be determined in the future.
