Eugene Dow, 80, left us on May 26, 2013, with his family by his side at Riverside Community Hospital.
Gene was born December 30, 1932, in Inglewood, California, to Harley and Della Dow. He graduated from Linwood High. Immediately after graduating high school he joined the United States Army where he served honorable for four years. After his stint in the Army he attended college at College of the Canyons. In 1978, he met his wife, Alice Dow, through a mutual friend. They fell in love and married August 11, 1979.
His interests included family, model trains, woodworking, deep sea fishing, sports of any kind, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. His smile and humor brightened everyone's day.
Gene is survived by his wife, Alice Dow; daughters, Cindy Llora, Deborah Dow, Susan Dow; sons, Scott Dow, Richard Ecker, and Michael Ecker, and their spouses; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
