Frances Dee (McComas) Rummel passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 6, 2020 in Sun City, CA. She was born on March 14, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She married the love of her life, Robert Stanely Rummel in Yuma, Arizona on August 25, 1951. After 47 years of marriage, he passed away on November 14, 1998. She was a Navy wife who raised 4 children in Pomona, CA and retired to Sun City, CA in 1989. She worked as a pharmacy manager at Peterson’s Pharmacy in Claremont, CA for 27 years. Her hobbies included bird watching, spending time with her family, traveling, researching genealogy, and reading. She is survived by Tom (Heidi) of Chino Hills, CA; Charles of Salisbury, NC; Rosemarie (Sandy) of Oak Island, NC; her niece and nephew, Bonnie Hilt and Michael Rummel, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and faithful canine companion Molly. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Robert Arthur Rummel in 2016 and her beloved partner of 13 years, Vance Mingus. There will be a celebration of life at the Miller-Jones Mortuary in Sun City from 3-5pm. Together Forever - Sail On.
