Frederick Carl Day, 102 of Hemet, California passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at home. He was born on Monday, April 22, 1918 in Cordova, Alaska, and was the son of the late Lewis and Amlie Day. Frederick was married to the love of his life, Jean Day for over 75 years before she passed away in March 2019. He was a proud member of the US Navy from 1943 to 1945. He worked as a Civil Engineer in the construction all over the country and the world. He loved to play shuffleboard and was part of many winning teams. He enjoyed 440's music and loved reading the newspaper everyday to keep informed. Frederick walked 3/4 of a mile two times a day to keep in excellent shape. He liked to care for his grapefruit and orange trees along with a grape vine that produced every year. His family describe him as outgoing, a people person who could connect with people. He will be missed by those that knew him and love him.. Surviving is his son Lewis Day. Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
