George Washington Smith III
We will always remember him as a "Man of The Sea" trolling along in constant search for, as he called it, "The Big Bogardus". Deep sea fishing was his life's passion second only to family, friends and his spiritual beliefs.
He loved to travel, map in hand, always planning the next great adventure whether it be by boat, RV, plane or jeep to far away lands or close by deserts, mountains and rivers. But time and time again you could find him in his favorite small fishing towns that line the coast of Baja where the crystal blue seas beckoned to him, "Come, fish me".
He loved to play golf and watch football, a cold drink close at hand.
He passed peacefully thru the gates of this world to begin again in a new adventure in the heavenly realm above.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 yrs, Marie, his three daughters, Belinda and husband Randy Forgeon, Jolene Irvine, Gina and husband Jim Smith, 9 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren and two sisters Mary Martha (Marty) Blake and Helen (Honna) Chambers.
We look forward to the future in the hopes of reuniting with him in the "Deep Blue Sea" beyond....
