George Washington Conner
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
George was born on Monday, August 6, 1934 in Russell County, Alabama to the late Willie Conner and the late Marie (Toney) Conner.
After 23 years of service in the Air Force, George retired as a Mental Health Technician (E-6).
He was affectionately called "Mr. C" and known as a loving and generous man. His hobbies included: golfing and going to the gym. For over 20 years he was a volunteer with the Red Cross; he assisted with numerous campaigns for the City of Moreno Valley and would visit the local hospital during the holiday season dressed as Santa. He was also a Basketball Coach at March Air Force Base.
On Friday, December 6, 2013, George passed away in Loma Linda, California.
To forever cherish his memory is his wife of 52 years Marlene Conner; children, Erica Betts, Marie Rackley and Mark Conner; 4 grandchildren, Kevin Betts, Rudell Rackley, Reggie Rackleyand Ashleigh Betts; siblings, Arthur Conner, Ida Williams and Lou Arnold as well as numerous other family members and friends.
