

Gilbert Daniel Garcia, 71, more commonly known as Danny by his family and friends, passed away on February 11, 2020 at Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley, California. Danny was born on September 19, 1948 in Los Angeles, California to his late mother Aurora Beatriz Garcia.
Immediately following high school graduation, Danny joined the US Navy where he proudly served our country and had the privilege of traveling all over the world. He then met his loving wife Maria Christina Guzman (Chris) at a chance meeting while substituting on her bowling team. They were married on May 14, 1976 and spent forty-three years together. Danny worked for the Southern California Gas Company for over 35 years and built many friendships. Another area of his life where he built many friendships was as an Elk Lodge member for 44 years and he was even installed as the Exalted Ruler of the Lake Elsinore Elks Lodge #2591, which he held as a true accomplishment.
Danny was a hardworking man who had a passion and talent for woodworking, building cabinets and other furniture. He also loved sports. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan. In his life, Danny also enjoyed going fishing, playing golfing, bowling, and watching horse racing.
Danny is survived by his wife Chris, his daughter and son-in-law Renee Garcia and Tony Delgadillo, his step-son and daughter-in-law John Jasso and Maritza Herrera, his brother Larry Garcia, and his two beautiful grandchildren Liliana Delgadillo and Sean Jasso. Danny was a strong-minded, passionate man who lived by the courage of his convictions. He will be truly missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family.
