

Guy Davis Veasey passed away peacefully at home on February 26th, 2025 in Murrieta, California. He was 88 years old. He was widowed by his wife Jean Clower. His affiliations included United Model Airplane Society, Experimental Aircraft Society, U.S. Naval Academy Class of '58.
He is survived by his sister Mary Stuart Awbrey, daughters Christina / Paul D'Amore , Avalon Balker, and Laura / Dudley Headley. His grandchildren Matthew Headley and Justin Headley, Linnea Christensen,Ian Jenkins and Somersby Jenkins. Also by his beloved dog Bailey. GUY had 10 great grandchildren.
Guy was the son of a U.S. Navy Captain. Born in Boston, Massachusetts . He was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. Following his father's footsteps he had a long career in the Navy as a ship engineer and retired as a Lieutenant Commander in Long Beach, California. He then went to work for Hughes Aircraft in Southern California as an engineer for another 11 years. Following that career he worked for International Transport Systems. He then retired and settled into married life with Marcia Veasey. She passed away in 2016. He married Jean in 2018 and enjoyed a relaxing , happy life with her in Murrieta, California.
Guy's passion with flying single engine planes continued throughout his adult life. He also enjoyed flying model airplanes with his buddies. He had a deep sense of patriotism for his country. Having been deployed for over a year in the Vietnam War, and many other deployments, he understood the tolls of sacrificing his life for the cause of a better America.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the German Shepherd Rescue Society.
A graveside service for Guy will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:15 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, California.
McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet, California is in charge of arrangements.
