He was born Monday, August 11, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Edward McCann and the late Marie Hegarty McCann.
Surviving are sons, Jeremy McCann and Jeff McCann.
James loved to read. He also liked to fish and to travel. His family remembers him as someone who was always there for them, he never missed any special events.
