James Charles Rivers, 62 of Hemet, California passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California. He was born on Tuesday, August 25, 1953, and was son of the late Charles and Helen Tessier Rivers. He was a proud member of the 82nd Airborne for 6 years. James was very proud to be apart of building the wall for veterans in Alpine California. He loved watching his favorite football team, the San Diego Chargers and the University of Miami. Sharing a cold beer and watching games was one of his favorite things to do. James liked working with his hands and made a living as a Master Mason in the construction industry. His family describes him as very family oriented, loving, and caring. He will be sorely missed by those that knew him and loved him. Preceding in death was his brother Gary Rivers. Surviving is his daughter Dawne Rivers, sons Josh Rivers, Mike Johnston, and JD Johnston. sister Sharon Dowd and her husband Raymond, brother Chuck Rivers and his wife Teri. of Hemet, CA. Services will be private.
