My dad on my 17th birthday
This was the last picture I had of my father, my mom Mara Isabel Sandoval took this picture of us on my birthday which was May 19. 2016 and he was so happy that day.. I would have never thought my dad would leave us so soon. I miss him so much, there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about him... Papi i miss you so much.. I know you're going to be watching me from heaven and you're my guardian angel now.. I know you'll be there on my graduation day, maybe not physically but I know you'll be there and I'm going to make you proud Te extrao mucho, te quiero mucho papi, descanses en paz.. ya s que ests con mi to Jorge, mi abuelita Rosa, mi abuelo Jesus, Y mi gema.

"El Primo"
I was only 10 years old when I met my primo Chuy. It was my first time going to Chihuahua and meeting all of my cousins.

I was mesmerized to see such resemblance between my brother, Jorge, and Jesus. They just looked so handsome and very a like.

In 1983-1984, I was attending evening classes in Pasadena and Chuy would give me a ride home from school. He had a small apartment that he used to share with Beto and another friend.

I remember it was a pack of them: Luis, Sal, Beto, Brochas, Gary, Franky, & El hermano, who used to hang out and listen to heavy metal music such as Rush, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and many more.

My primo Chuy was a kind person and a bit shy, nevertheless, he soon became loved by all of my brother's friends and was baptised by the nickname "El Primo."

Primo, siempre te recordare con tu linda sonrisa.

Te imajino en un lindo y pacifico lugar al lado de mis tios y el primo Jorge.

Se que volveremos a reencontrarnos.

Dios te bendiga. Te quiero.

Tu prima de siempre.

Dear Maria and Christopher,

I am so sorry to have read of the passing of your husband and father. We are the same age, and I can just imagine how devastating that must be to have lost him so young. I have children and grandchildren of my own, and I know that they want to see me around a lot longer.

How can you cope with such a loss? Right now, let your friends and loved ones hold you close and bring you comfort. I hope in time you can also take comfort from what the scriptures say.

Christ Jesus promised his followers that there would be a resurrection of the dead (John 5:28) and that one day soon, death will be a thing of the past (Revelation 21:4, 5). You will have an opportunity to greet Jesus again, right here on earth! 

Until that time, do your best to learn about these promises so that you might be there to greet him. I hope these verses bring some comfort to you.
