

Joey Lillie Parker was born in Los Angeles California to Son M. and Annie Lee Parker, on November 27th 1955. Joey received his education at various schools including some college classes in Los Angeles and Riverside County.
Joey was a proud United States Marine, and received an Honorable Discharge after serving a number of years. He received Christ and was baptized at an early age. In spite of circumstances in his life, he loved God with all his heart, and continued to know that God would take care of him, even in his darkest hours. He knew God was able to help him. Two of his favorite scriptures were Philippians 4:13 and Revelation 21:4.
Joey was a man blessed by God with many talents. He held various positions throughout his life, such as trucking, carpentry, landscaping, etc. He could repair most anything. God blessed him to be an entrepreneur of his own Shoe Shine Repair Shop. He blessed him with a voice to sing, and was able to speak three languages, a man very talented. Joey was loving and giving. He enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing, and working on things people said couldn't be fixed! Joey loved watching the news, CNN, History Channel, and most of all he enjoyed the Military Channel. He never met a stranger. Joey had the gift of gab! He married Portia Christopher on March 17th 2013. In this union he inherited a family that loved and cherished him and he became their Poppa Joe.
Joey departed this life on June 3rd 2016. His father and mother, Son M. and Annie Lee Parker, two brothers: Paul and Clarence Jr. One son Dana D. Parker preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Portia Christopher Parker, His children: Tracy, Stacy, John and Shawn, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Dwight, three sisters: Janice, Mae and Delores, goddaughter, Tiana, two wonderful godparents: Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Linton, and a host of family, friends and love ones. Joey will be missed, but never forgotten
