He was always ready to lend his cooking skills for the cause. He enjoyed golf, especially when beating his sons.
John was preceded in death by his parents John and Marta, and two sons, Larry and John. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ellen Hein; 5 sons, Doug, Craig (Sandy), and Mathew of Hemet, Michael of Pauma Valley and Scott of Tacoma WA; 4 daughters, Tara (John) of Perris, Rebecca (Mark) of San Jacinto, Joyce (Ron) and Tara Leigh of WA; sister Rhonda (Carl) Bakken of North Dakota. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy and numerous others who thought of him as a Dad and as a wonderful friend.
