Josefina Ortega Torres, born April 5, 1926, left this earth to meet the Lord in heaven on November 18, 2013. After a courageous 10-year battle with Alzheimer's and recently with cancer, Josie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Josie was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She resided in Anaheim, CA. most of her life and recently moved to Menifee, CA.
She was one of thirteen children born to the late Sostenes and Eliza Ortega. Josefina will forever be remembered by her devoted daughters Dolores, Patricia, Priscilla and son -in law Fred, her four beloved grandchildren, their spouses and ten great grand children, her two sisters, nieces, nephews and countless friends and family whom were blessed to know her.
Josefina touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Her greatest asset was the love of people especially children. She loved to spread the love of the Lord to all who would listen.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, November 22, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Revival Christian Fellowship, 29220 Scott Road, Menifee CA 94584.
