

Joseph Eugene Norris was born, August 19, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the oldest child of 3. He grew up with lots of pets and loved animals. He ran track in High School. At the age of 18 years old, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served 3 years as a PFC and then transferred to the Army where he served as a Sergeant for another 3 years. Joe fell in love with California while in the service and made it his home. Joe truly loved life and was always active and on the go. He was an avid Golfer and Bowler and enjoyed traveling to compete in many Tournaments. After retirement, Joe moved to Hemet where he made many friends and continued being active competing in the Hemet Senior Olympics. Joe always had a passion for dancing. He often said, “Women love a man who can dance.” He was nicknamed, “Dancing Joe,” by his friends at the Elks Lodge where he frequently entertained everyone with his dancing and karaoke. He always encouraged everyone around him to have a good time. He enjoyed being a father and friend to many. Joe had a big heart and is missed tremendously.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his wife, Donna; his brother, Ron; his 4 children, Dave, Jennifer, Joey, and Jeff; and his 5 grandchildren, Tiare, Joseph, Justin, Marissa, and Roman.
