Joseph Tomasovic

Joseph John Tomasovic Jr, 75 of Hemet, California passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at home. He was born in Brooklyn New York on Friday, July 30, 1943 to the late Joseph and Rita Tomasovic. Joseph served proudly in the US Navy for over 3 years and left as an E-5, Petty Officer Second Class. He loved to share his experiences from the Navy with family and friends. Joseph had many occupations during his working years such as a landscaper and painter but his passion has been designing jewelry. He has been working in this field on the side for over 40 years. He has clients that are local County Judges, some in Beverly Hills and finally in the Middle East. Joseph was a big Elvis fan and enjoyed his music. He owned an AMC Barracuda where he tricked it out. He loved tinkering with that car and once he stopped driving , his family would call and take Joseph on special rides that took advantage of that big engine in the mountains and local roads. Joseph liked taking photography. He could always be seen with a smile, it seemed he was always wearing his smile. His family describe him as outgoing, a great sense of humor and was known for putting other people before himself. Preceding in death was his wife of 53 years, Betty Tomasovic who passed in November 2014, Surviving is his daughter, Kathy Tomasovic and niece Freda Romo and nephew Johnny Romo.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary, 1501 W Florida Ave , Hemet, California followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside, California 92518.
