Leona Joan Wooten, 83 of Menifee, California passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. She was born on Saturday, November 19, 1932 in Gary, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Zajac and the late Marie (Eckert) Zajac.
Leona and her husband Kenneth celebrated 63 years of marriage in September of 2015. She was a past president of the American Legion Post 207 in Gary, Indiana. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary and Eucharistic Minister at St Josephs Catholic Church in Baytown, Texas, St Columbia Catholic Church in San Diego, Ca and St Vincent Ferrer in Sun City, CA.
She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth, sons, Kenneth Wooten and Timothy Wooten, daughters, Sheryl Wooten and Annette Wooten; 14 grand children; 8 great grand children.
