Leonard Paul Funk, 64 of Simi Valley, California passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Born Tuesday, July 15, 1947 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Leonard Funk and the late Marie Tippett Funk. Leonard graduated from USC in 1969 and remained a life long Trojan fan; he had season seats to the games every year. He joined the Air Force after graduation, working his way up to Captain before being honorably discharged in 1973. Leonard had a life long love of airplanes and had his pilot license. His family remembers Leonard as someone who loved German Opera (Wagner only!), all types of music, a good meal but his greatest love was his two children. He will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are father, Leonard Funk; son, Leonard Funk; daughter, Jennifer Funk ; his significant other, Mary Hartwell and his grandchildren.
