Lloyd Keith Midyett, 84 of Hemet, California passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Christmas Cottage in Hemet, California . He was born on Friday, June 10, 1932 in Libby, Montana, and was the son of the late Lloyd and Julia Williams Midyett. He was married to the love of his life, Elizabeth Povodnik Midyett for 48 years. Together they loved camping and traveling across the US. Lloyd worked in the education industry as a teacher for 30 years giving hundreds of kids a solid foundation for the future. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 where he was a dental technician aboard the hospital ship, the USS Consolation. In 1965 he received an appointment as a Reserve Officer in the U.S. Navy where he served until 1973. Following his discharge from the military, he attended California State University, Long Beach, where he received both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. He also held a number of elementary, secondary, and administrative credentials. He has been a member of the California Retired Teachers Association. Lloyd enjoyed a variety of food and was an avid reader. His family describes him as loving, caring and meticulous.. Surviving is his wife Elizabeth Midyett, daughter Karol Fogle and her husband Rick, brother Warren Midyett and his wife Janice. The night skies will shine less brightly, save the one twinkling new star that will smile down upon each of us and outshine all the rest. Services will be private.
