Luther James Sharp, 92 of San Jacinto, CA passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, in San Jacinto, CA. He was born on Sunday, March 13, 1927 in Cainsville MO. He was the son of the late Tecumseh Albert Sharp and the late Dora (Meineckie) Sharp. Luther was a machinist for 47 years. Luther served our country proudly during WWII, in the United States Navy and he participated in the two largest amphibious operations in world history - the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He was preceded in death by his wife Marion Geraldine Sharp, siblings, Max Sharp, Clarendon "Click" Sharp and Anna Booth.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen Davis, Ruth Bumgarner and Gail Sharp, his children Norman Sharp, Terry Fridley and Jeffrey Sharp, 11 nephews and nieces, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at Riverside National Cemetery staging area #5.
