This precious lady was an influence of pure unconditional love in my life. Marie welcomed me into the family with not only the fact that I was her only son's new wife, but the heart to share the truth about who Jesus was and what He did for her. I am ever so grateful for Marie's tender prayers for my salvation and encouragement to seek God. 

Marie was a mom to me in so many ways. As a stay-at-home mom, and my own mom many miles away, Marie stepped in and was a sweet friend and passionate grandma. Marie loved to go for drives and we had many laughs on our many "drives" in the old van with the kids. One drive was particularly long because we had made it all the way up to Big Bear only to realize we brought the wrong keys to the cabin! Her response was simply that we'd "just have to enjoy each other's company a bit longer than we planned"...haha.
I will always hold my sweet mother-in-law in my memories and remind my children of how much she deeply loved them, and rest in the assurance that she is in Heaven walking, singing, and for sure talking with our Heavenly Father.
