Mary Elaine Carroll of Hemet, California died peacefully at her home in Hemet, CA on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Mary was born on April 11, 1938 in Niagara Falls, New York. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Doris (Morgan) Seigenthaler. Mary grew up with her sisters Gloria Eyerly, Nancy Heath, and her late brother Henry Seigenthaler.
Mary was married to Gene Carroll from 1968 until his death in 1989. Several years after Gene's passing Mary met Lester Lindow at a donut shop in Hemet. Mary and Les were true soulmates for the next 20 until Mary's passing. Their family and friends often said Mary and Les acted like teenagers in love. They enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. The last trip they would take together was to Hawaii last December where they attended the 75th commemoration of Pearl Harbor.
Mary was an amazing woman with an infectious smile. Her kind, sweet, gentle and loving personality endeared her to all who met her. She was soft spoken but had the uncanny ability to make people laugh out loud with a simple sarcastic remark. Mary's favorite meal was a Bob's Big Boy hamburger. Blue was her favorite color and she loved yellow roses. For 10 years Mary enjoyed monthly luncheons with the Red Hat Ladies Society. Mary was a member of the Hemet Valley Baptist church for 16 years.
Mary is survived by her soulmate Les Lindow, sisters Gloria and Nancy, daughter Susan, granddaughter Christine, grandson Mark, 3 great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
Mary will be sorely missed by all!
