Born Tuesday, December 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert Ratliff and the late Wanda Crowl Ratliff.
Michael was a police officer in law enforcement for 20 years. He enjoyed fly model airplanes, traveling, hunting, and he also collected old guns.
Surviving are his wife; Leigh Ann Raliff, daughter, Laura Martin (Nathan), sister, Sheryl Strachnan, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Robert Ratliff Jr.
