Mike is survived by his devoted wife, Debrah Mayer, four children, Margaret (Shane) Belcher, Mikey (Lindsey) Mayer, Miranda Mayer, and Candise (Josh) Szemett, his sister, Michelle (Garry) Guzzetta, and 9 grandchildren.
Mike was a loving, caring and protective son, husband, father and grandfather. He had a wonderful wit, and loved making everyone smile. Among his many passions were his love of classic cars and his love of the Raiders and Saints. Together with his wife, he loved to go on adventures. He was known to take roads unknown on his Harley, leading to new and exciting experiences. Mike was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
