Born Saturday, November 18, 1916 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late James L. Carter and Annie Freels Carter.
Myrtle was a marvelous wife, mother and homemaker. She loved serving at her church and served as a Sunday school teacher. Some of her hobbies included painting, sewing, gardening, and canning. There was never a moment that Myrtle wasn't busy with a task or thinking of the next thing on her agenda.
She will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are son, Richard L. Jenkins, daughters, Joyce Gwen Brooke and Jettie R. Fleming, sisters, Camilla Sue Dunkin and Eula Ann Minga, 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary located at 1501 W Florida Ave Hemet, California 92544. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, 2555 S. Santa Fe Street San Jacinto, CA. 92583 at 11:30 AM following the funeral service
