

PHILLIP ANDREW TUNSTALL was born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 8, 1950 to the late Luke A. Tunstall and the late Rosella R. Thompson Tunstall. He departed this life on February 5, 2016. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Michael C. Tunstall and Raymond L. Tunstall.
He attended and graduated from Hope High School in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduation he served his country in the U. S. Army. He served three years in the military from September 18, 1967, and was honorably discharged on September 17, 1970.
After receiving his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to California and furthered his education by attending The National Technical School and receiving his degree as a Computer Engineer. After that, he was employed at Honeywell Computer and the Xerox Corporation. He later worked as a Barber and returned to Rosston Barber School in San Bernardino and received his Teaching Certificate to teach future Barbers. He was a Barber Instructor at the California Correctional Facility until he retired in 2009.
He was an avid sports fan. Phillip's favorite sports teams were the Lakers, and the Rams. He also enjoyed other hobbies such as golf and fishing.
Phillip attended Vine Life Christian Fellowship, and later became a member of Living Way Christian Fellowship. Shortly thereafter, he began to have medical challenges.
He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters: Tonya (Zachery) Anderson of GA, Tammy D. Tunstall of MD, Rochelle Tunstall of Moreno Valley, CA; sons: Spencer Tunstall and Mikael Tunstall, both of Moreno Valley, CA; step-son, Kim LaKeith Roche of CA; five grandchildren: Quanisha Montgomery, Jilahn Blount, Devin Tunstall, Michael Tunstall, and Malachi Tunstall; one great-grandchild, Aliya Montgomery; one step-grandchild, Marc Roche; siblings: Charlotte L. Jarrett of Providence RI, Loris H. Lovett, L.A., CA, Luke A. Tunstall, Moreno Valley, CA, Robert H. Tunstall, Victorville, CA, Gerald R. Tunstall, Hayward, CA, Ronald E. Tunstall, Cranston, RI, Gary L. Tunstall, Raleigh, NC, Patricia L. Costa Tunstall, Sacramento, CA, Carol E. Ozuna, Henderson, NV, and Linda M. Tunstall Parker, Sacramento, CA; one aunt, Bertha Wells, Providence, RI; one uncle, Wolfred Wilkenson, Pawtucket, RI; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
