Raymond Victor Patterson, 87, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2018. A memorial for Ray will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Miller Jones Mortuary in Hemet. Ray was born in Highland Park, Michigan to Hans Victor Patterson and Hazel (McClain) Patterson on March 29, 1931. While serving in the Army during the Korean War, Ray was awarded a commendation ribbon for heroic action. Ray is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Patterson, his son Raymond Victor Patterson II and his step-son Arthur David Mendez. He is survived by his son Raymond Michael (Mike) Patterson and his daughter Colleen S. Patterson-Musser. He is also survived by his granddaughters Michelle Musser, Tarra Escobeda, and Christina and Emily Ceccanese. Ray lived in California for over 60 years and was an Insurance Agent until his retirement where his entrepreneurial skills did not end, and he became a cheesecake shop owner with his wife and spent time traveling, acting in dinner theater, playing shuffleboard, horseshoes and card games with his many friends
