He was born on Monday January 4, 1932 in Lebenon Indiana to the late Mary Jane Haney (Hicks) and David Jacob Haney.
Richard played football and baseball, he loved Elvis, gold rings, and eating fried chicken. He served in the Air force from 1949 to 1954. He did an overseas tour during conflict and received a national defense metal.
Richard is survived by his son Lonny Richard Haney, daughter Brenda Renee Haney, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
