Robert James Willard, 79, entered this life January 9th, 1938 in Ogden, Utah. He entered eternal joy September 24th, 2017, at his home surrounded by love in Hemet, California. He was known as Bob to his friends, Dad to his kids, and grandpa to his many grand-kids and great grand-kids. Dad was an example of what a man should be; kindhearted, hardworking, loving, honest, and loyal. He served in the California National Guard and the Army reserve and was stationed at Fort Erwin in Southern California. His early days were spent hunting and fishing the mountains of Utah. When he was 5 years old, his family moved to the San Jacinto Valley where he met his beautiful wife, Barbara. They married in November of 1956 and had four kids together Lisa, Teresa, Robert Scott, and Elizabeth. He has 10 grand-kids and 10 great-grand kids who cherished their time with him. He was a great horseman who helped with his kids FFA and 4H clubs. His teenage years were spent riding horses and hanging out with his car club, winning every race in the fastest Flathead V8 Mercury in the whole valley. He is remembered as being a fantastic story teller. He was generous with everything he had, including his time and wisdom. He is going to be greatly missed by all those he touched with his witty personality and great sense of humor.
