Rosa Salinas was born into the arms of the Lord on September 4, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas. After 88 years of a devout and humble life, she returned to her Creator on August 18, 2024, in Hemet, California. She was the heart and soul of her family and an unwavering pillar of faith in her community.
United once again with her beloved husband Juan J. Salinas and her daughters Maryalice Rivas and Roseann Salinas who had gone before her, Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love and virtue. She is mourned and cherished in memory by her children Al Salinas, Patricia Salinas, Frances Castaneda, and Yolanda Gonzales, as well as by a lineage of 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren who were graced by her warmth and wisdom.
With heavy hearts and treasured recollections, we invite friends and kin to partake in the visitation services for Rosa on Thursday, September 12, between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. at Miller Jones Mortuary in Hemet, California. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held in her honor on Friday, September 13, at 10 a.m. at the same location. It is here we shall raise our supplications for the repose of her soul.
Rosa will be interred with grace at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m., where she will be laid to rest. To celebrate her life and the benevolence she so freely gave, a reception will be held at 3 p.m. at Miller Jones following her interment.
In lieu of floral tributes, the Salinas family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude's, an organization that resonates with the compassion that Rosa embodied throughout her blessed life. Our sincere appreciation is extended to Miller Jones Mortuary for their compassionate assistance during our bereavement.
Eternal rest grant unto Rosa, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Rosa Salinas find peace in the arms of the angels and may her soul rest in peace. Amen.
