Russell Travis Jones, age 85, of Hemet, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Mr. Jones, who was born in Missouri, lived in Hemet for 22 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked in landscaping for 35 years. Russell was a member of Royal Rangers Outpost 301 and Valle Vista Assembly of God. He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching his favorite baseball team the Los Angeles Angels. He will be truly missed by all who had the honor to have known him and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife Eva Jones; sons, John, Ron, Randy Jones; brother Roy Jones; seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary, Hemet. Visitation and service will be held at Valle Vista Assembly of God, Saturday, March 19, 2011, 1:30pm. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
