Sarah Christine Bettencourt

Sarah Christine Bettencourt, 29, of Winchester, CA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 22, 2017. She was born on March 20, 1988 in Santa Maria, CA and adopted at birth by Carol Anne and Bob Bettencourt. Sarah grew up surrounded by a family that loved and cherished her. She had a special relationship as a child with her Grandma Gertie and they loved spending time together feeding the deer at Grandpa and Grandma's pond, shopping at the Okie Sale and going to Disneyland with all the cousins. Growing up, Sarah attended Cornerstone Community Church in Wildomar, CA with her mother and grandparents, and was raised to know Jesus as her Savior. Sarah graduated in 2006 from Cornerstone Christian High School in Wildomar, where she was very active in softball, basketball and volleyball. She also really enjoyed motocross, super-cross and the Packers. After graduation, Sarah attended Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School and later transferred to Palomar College and Mt. San Jacinto College to study child development and medical assisting. Sarah loved children and was excited to be a Lead Teacher in her own preschool classroom at Kiddie Academy in Murrietta, CA. Sarah was also eager to complete her Medical Assistant program.

One of Sarah's greatest joys was meeting her biological family in 2016, the Cornett family.

Sarah's precious life on earth was taken too quickly and her vibrant, fun-loving, caring spirit will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Carol Anne Bettencourt, her father, Bob Bettencourt, her Aunt Doreen Snapper and her Aunt Carol Oldengarm, her Uncle Don Bettencourt, the Cornett Family including Russell, Russell Jr. and Tiffany, and numerous cousins.

Sarah is preceded in death by her grandparents Harold and Gertie Struikman and John and Marie Bettencourt.
