A native of Lewiston, Maine; Stanley was born on October 3rd, 1950 to his father Stanley Napoléon Lamontagne and his mother Rosa Gagnon. Stanley moved to Meriden, Connecticut on his own at the young age of 15. At the age of 20 he met the love of his life Linda Helen Lubinsky and they would get married on April 17th, 1971 only 3 months after meeting for the first time. Whenever asked why he got married so quickly, Stanley would always reply “The moment I saw Linda I knew right then and there that she was the one”.
In July of 1974 in Middletown, CT Stanley and Linda began their family with their first child, Stanley Jr. In February of 1978 Stanley, by himself, moved to Orange County to continue his work in the dry-cleaning business and to get a home set up for his newly started family. One month later Linda and Stanley Jr. came to California to join Stanley. In September of 1982, in Anaheim, Ca Stanley and Linda continued to grow their family with the arrival of their second child Kyle Luke. Ten short months later in August of 1983 in Orange, Ca Stanley and Linda welcomed the third addition to their family, their only daughter, Rosa Danielle, giving Stanley and Linda their Irish Twins. In November of 1988 in San Bernardino, Ca Linda gave birth to their youngest and last child Derek Michael.
At 15 years old, from 1966-1978, Stanley first began working in the dry-cleaning industry. For those 15 years Stanley worked his way up from an entry level position to managing three locations for As You Like It Cleaners in Middletown, CT. From 1973-1978, while managing the three, As You Like It Cleaners, Stanley also owned his own dry-cleaning business, Step-N-Style Cleaners, eventually selling his business in 1978 to move his family to Southern California. Stanley continued his work in the dry-cleaning industry from 1978-1982. In 1982 Stanley stopped working in the dry-cleaning industry, which he loved, to start working for KAL-KAN Dog Food Co., which he did not like, to ensure his growing family would have much needed health insurance. In 1986, after the closure of KAL-KAN Dog Food Co., Stanley immediately began working for Hostess-Wonder Bread Bakery in Pomona, Ca, which he hated, but did so because he cared about his family more than himself. Stanley worked for Hostess-Wonder Bread Bakery as the floor foreman, for a long 22 years, from 1986 until his retirement in 2008. Stanley was always known to be a very hard-working person by anyone who knew him. During Stanley’s entire life he would always make sure that he had a way to provide for his family no matter the stress or damage to his body.
Stanley began his retirement by buying his and Linda’s home in Hemet, Ca where he lived until passing. Stanley enjoyed having coffee, playing billiards, playing poker and shooting the S*** with his friend Michael Rice and others. Stanley loved to philosophize and ponder about many subjects such as the afterlife, religion and even Extraterrestrials. What Stanley most loved was being in the company of his wife, children and especially his grandchildren.
Stanley Ernest Lamontagne SR will be DEEPLY MISSED by his loving wife, his four children, and eight grandchildren. Stanley’s memory will continue to live on through his family. HIS LEGACY WILL FOREVER BE IMMORTILIZED.
