Stephen Lance Talley

Stephen Lance Talley, 62 of San Jacinto, California entered the Joy of his Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2015. He was born on Friday, September 18, 1953 in Hemet California to the late Joe B and Lillie Mae Talley. Stephen is survived by his four brothers, Joe (Christy) Talley, Dennis Talley, Dr James (Lola) Isaac and Lynn Allen Talley, nephews Joe III (Summer) and Jesse (Jordan), niece Emalee (Michael), and one great nephew, Baby Joe IV. He was a dedicated follower of Christ and a member of 412 church in San Jacinto.

Stephen was the art teacher at San Jacinto High School for 32 Years. His love of art and teaching, and his interest in his students both academically and personally, is evidenced by the success of his students in class, art competitions and some in lifetime careers. Stephen not only taught his students, he inspired them to do their best and nothing less. His accomplishments lead to the Stephen Talley Performing Arts Hall of Fame Award at San Jacinto High School, and a scholarship in his name, the Stephen Talley Art Enrichment Program. For many years Stephen's students have won the Congressional Art Competition, in which the student's painting hangs in the Whitehouse for 1 year. In addition to teaching and painting/drawing, Steve was an avid gardener.
