

Tammy Courtney was born in Mumford, Tennessee on March 8, 1959. She was the 4th child of six children born to the late David Myles and Shelby Myles; the family moved to California when she very young. Her favorite line to meet new friends in the new neighborhood was: "ya'all wanna play jump rope?" Her very best friends as kids growing up were the Hughs family. They lived across the street from Tammy and her family and shared an unbreakable bond. (Stephanie, Kathy and Donna).
Tammy loved to ride her 10-speed bike to work as a maid at Farm De Ville while attending junior high. She also enjoyed working at the local family printing shop. Later, she got a job working at Knott's Berry Farm.
Her favorite past time included: taking pictures and walking her dog "Oggie" up and down the street. Tammy caught the eye of her future husband Edward, while he was visiting his friend Victor Hughs. (The childhood family friends from across the street).
They married and had their first child Cristina after which moved to Ontario to their first home.
Tammy started working as a Sales Associate at Mervyn's. She worked nights and weekends.
When she became pregnant the family began looking to own a new bigger house in Moreno Valley; they moved just after the delivery of their 2nd daughter Carissa. One day Tammy was caught crying "I want my old house back". Tammy transferred from working Mervyn's in Ontario to a new store in Moreno Valley. Later she got a new job at the newly opened store Lowes also located in Moreno Valley.
On March 31, 2014 Tammy passed away. She was a loving wife, caring mother and grandmother, beloved daughter, sister aunt and best friend.
To forever cherish her memory is her husband Ed; daughters, Cristina and Carissa; son-in-law, Karl; granddaughter, Amelia; mother, Shelby; siblings, Rita, Alan, Paula, Steven and Laura as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Tammy will greatly be missed by all that knew her and all the lives she touched.
